Edwards-Anderson parameter and local Ising nematicity in FeSe revealed via NMR spectral broadening

The NMR spectrum of FeSe shows a dramatic broadening on cooling towards the bulk nematic phase at ${T}_{s}=90$ K, due to formation quasistatic, short-range-ordered domain structure. However, quantitative understanding and its relationship susceptibility is still lacking. Here, we show that temperature pressure dependence in agreement with mean-field Edwards-Anderson parameter an Ising-nematic model presence random-field disorder introduced by nonmagnetic impurities. Furthermore, these results reconcile interpretation Raman spectroscopy data under pressure.
